About Us

Back In Seven is the personal travel blog of Abigail Sinclair and Mark Adamson, documenting their seven month trip around the world and beyond. Some travel blogs are useful and give you loads of tips on where to go and what to see. This one is not.

The purpose of this blog is to keep a record of our trip and share some of our experiences with whoever is intrigued by the travels of two 30 year old Brits, heading around the world for the first time.

In October 2017 we set off on a seven month trip which began in India and is taking us around the world to Sri Lanka, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia, Japan, The Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, USA, Peru and Chile. The trip could evolve as we go, but those are the plans we’re currently following.

Who Are We?

Abigail is a creative dabbler who loves to make stuff using a huge variety of tools. She’s a freelance web designer by trade and builds the websites for all of our creative projects including this one. When Abigail isn’t building websites she’s probably drawing, taking photos, screen printing, organising an event, designing a new product, trying to learn how to use a new tool or just staring at some animals going about their day.

If you’re reading words anywhere on this blog then chances are it was Abigail who wrote them, which is weird because now you know she’s talking about herself in third-person.

If we were cards in a pack of Top Trumps, Mark would be your winner in the graphic design category. Back home Mark works full time as a graphic designer and also designs all of our branding and the minimal products you see in the Things by us shop.

Mark has an excellent eye for layout and composition, which makes him a pretty decent photographer too. It’s Mark’s job to edit the photos for the blog too, though we both take them with our own cameras.

Mylo isn’t travelling with us, but he’s part of the team and we miss him. Right now he’s probably asleep or chasing something outside, unless he’s pestering someone who’s trying to make their dinner in peace. Bless his little white socks.
